The machine consists of 2 identical systems – circuits. Every circuit has a gearing at 1:100.000.000. That means when the inner gearing wheel has turned 10.000.000.000 rounds the outer wheel has turned 1 round. At the outer wheel's axel is a 1 meter long coil spring with a weight in the end to make the circuit running. To prevent the circuits from running to fast the 2 circuits are combined so when the inner wheel, in the one circuit, has tuned 1 round it automatically starts the inner wheel in the other circuit. The first wheel stops. This interaction between the 2 circuits will continue until the weight at each circuit has pulled itself 1 meter down and thereby runs out of time
Seconds per:
Year: 31.536.000
Month (30 days): 2.592.000
Day: 86.400
Hours: 3.600
Minutes: 60
Laps per seconds for inner gearing wheel: 0.5 (see previous pages)
Circumferences of the outer axel wheel: 10 mm
Length of the coil spring: 1000 mm
Gearing: 1:100.000.000
Lifetime of the machine:
Seconds for 1 round of outer gearing wheel:
100.000.000 / 0.5 = 200.000.000 seconds
Laps before the weights of the 2 circuit has fold out the coil spring:
1000/10 = 100 laps
Lifetime: 200.000.000 x 100 = 20.000.000.000 seconds =
634 years, 2 month, 11 days, 11 hours, 33 minutes, 20 seconds
It will be possible to attach further circuits to the existing 2 and/or longer coil spring and/or increase the gearing for longer lifetime.
